Singapore to host Transformers Cybertron Convention

Transformers fans, rejoice!  Singapore will host the first-ever Transformers Cybertron convention in Southeast Asia next month.

From 11-14 March, the convention at Resorts World Sentosa will feature exhibits of video games, artwork and collectible toys from the popular cartoon and Hollywood blockbuster franchise. 

Highlight of the event will be the  6.71m-tall statue of Optimus Prime, the iconic leader of the
Autobots and most recognizable character of the Transformers series. Do not miss the chance to meet Mr Hideaki Yoke, lead designer of Transformers, and other top Hasbro artists. There will also be workshops for aspiring cartoon and game designers.

The event promises to bring smiles to fans with a visually stunning exhibit to take fans through the chronological progression of the 27-year-old Transformers, beginning with the classic 'Generation 1' era. The convention will also showcase extensive artwork and information about the characters and stories, from 'Beast Wars' to the blockbuster movie 'Transformers: Dark Of The Moon', up to the 'Transformers Prime' animated series.

Tickets for the convention are priced at $12 for a Day Pass and $68 for a four-day VIP Pass.

A special 3D2N Transformers Cybertron Con The Epic Battle Package - comprising hotel accommodation, a pair of one-day passes to Universal Studios Singapore, admission to the Transformers Cybertron Con 2012, and the Maritime Experiential Museum & Aquarium (Mema) - has also been rolled out. Guests making reservations before March 1 will enjoy $100 off the regular price of $988.

The Battle Pass, consisting tickets to Universal Studios Singapore and Cybertron Con, are also available at $77 (Adult), $62 (Child) and $48 (Senior Citizen).
